UPLOAD ERRORS / TROUBLESHOOTING

The portal shows an error after accepting the file.

Some portals show a filename first and validate it later. Separate problems with your file from problems with the portal before preparing the image again.

An extension does not change a file format

Renaming photo.png to photo.jpg does not convert its contents. FormPixo examines the image bytes and rejects forged or invalid raster inputs rather than trusting the extension alone. Use the output format control to create an actual new JPEG, PNG or WebP file that matches the notice.

If the tool rejects the original as corrupted or unsupported, obtain an undamaged original. A truncated image can sometimes show a thumbnail in one app but still fail full decoding elsewhere.

Review orientation and file naming

Photos taken on phones may include rotation information. The way a gallery displays a photo can differ from the decoded pixels or the file a portal receives. Review the prepared output, including its actual width and height. Do not assume a rotated preview means the saved image has the required dimensions.

Some portals reject certain filename characters or unusually long names. If the notice gives filename instructions, use them. Otherwise, a short plain filename can help isolate a filename-specific error without changing the document itself.

Try a fresh upload, not endless recompression

  1. Save the file FormPixo produced and verify its real format, size, dimensions and appearance.
  2. In the application portal, remove the old attachment and attach the new download.
  3. If the error persists, retry once in a fresh tab or private window. Clear an old file selection before testing again.
  4. Copy or note the exact portal error message, including when it appears: on selection, after upload, or on final submission.

These checks help distinguish a bad file, a stale form state, and a portal-side problem. Repeated re-encoding can only reduce image quality when the file was already correct.

When the problem belongs to the portal

If the downloaded file meets the stated byte, pixel and format limits but the authority's site still rejects it, check its helpdesk or official instructions. FormPixo does not inspect the portal's backend rules and cannot promise acceptance. Some applications require a photo taken through a live camera workflow, which a prepared upload cannot replace.

Other checks that may help

If the rejection refers to KB or width and height, follow the matching guide instead of changing unrelated settings.

Application requirements: This independent tool checks the limits you enter and cannot guarantee acceptance. Use the current official notice. A required live-camera step must be completed on the application portal.
