PHONE IMAGES / TROUBLESHOOTING

The photo looks fine on your phone but fails on the portal.

A phone gallery can display a sharp-looking preview even when the saved file has an unsupported format or the wrong dimensions. Check the actual file you will submit.

Open the image workspace

Check the real file type

Some phones save photographs as HEIC or HEIF. FormPixo accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP inputs. If your original file is HEIC, convert it to an accepted image format before selecting it in the workspace. Use a device conversion or export option that creates a real new file. Renaming .heic to .jpg is not conversion.

After conversion, check the new file's actual extension and open it once before resizing. The application portal may support fewer formats than FormPixo does, so use the list in its current notice.

A screenshot creates a different image

A screenshot captures what was visible on the phone screen, including whatever scaling or cropping the gallery applied. Its pixel dimensions are usually those of the screen capture, not the original camera image. A screenshot may also include margins, interface elements or a different crop.

For an application photograph, begin with the original camera file or a properly exported conversion whenever the portal allows it. Use the screenshot only if the application's own instructions permit that kind of image.

Zoom in on the prepared output

Phone screens can hide compression damage when an image is shown as a small thumbnail. Inspect the final file after preparation, ideally at a larger view. Check whether facial details have turned blocky or blurry and whether any edge was removed by cropping.

Read the measured KB and width × height in FormPixo's result panel. A thumbnail that looks right has not necessarily satisfied those technical requirements.

Retry with a known file

  1. Export or convert the source to an accepted raster format if necessary.
  2. Choose that real file in the workspace, not a gallery thumbnail.
  3. Enter requirements from the current application notice.
  4. Prepare, inspect the result at a useful size, and download it.
  5. Open the downloaded file, then select that exact file in the portal.

If the portal requires a live camera capture, follow its camera step. A resized gallery image is not a substitute for a mandatory live photograph.

Other checks that may help

If the file format is allowed but size or dimensions fail, move to the corresponding guide.

Application requirements: This independent tool checks the limits you enter and cannot guarantee acceptance. Use the current official notice. A required live-camera step must be completed on the application portal.
